Ada B. Greenhoff, 92 of Hanover entered into God’s Eternal care Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of the late G.R. “Doc” Greenhoff who died March 14, 1994. Born August 9, 1915, Union City, IN, she was the daughter of the late Herschel C. and Zola I. (Smiley) Strait. Mrs. Greenhoff was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hanover where she was a member of the International Class and teacher of the Young Adults Sunday School. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Bara Court Ladies Oriental Shrine, Dayton, OH. Mrs. Greenhoff also was a volunteer for the Hanover Red Cross and the Hanover Hospital. Surviving is a daughter: Janet Bainbridge, York; also two Grandchildren; Michael Myers and Melissa Durcho both of York and four Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson: Ron Day. The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 11, 2008 at First United Methodist Church, 200 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331 with Rev. Thomas H. Jacobs Officiating. Viewing will be Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the church. Graveside services will be held at the Teegarden Cemetery near Ansonia, OH on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 10:00 am with the Rev. Joe Royer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to First United Methodist Church Organ Fund, 200 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville.
