Alice Moore Hollinger

Alice Moore Hollinger, 90, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on July 22, 2012. Alice was born on August 10, 1921 in Greene County, Ohio to the late Joseph and Verna (Miller) Coy.
Alice worked as a Assistant Administrator at Brethren Retirement Community from 1964 until 1984. She had a love for many things. Alice was very passionate about music and playing the piano. She loved the Lord and her church, Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren where she was a member. Alice enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and baking. However, her pride and joy was her family. She loved all of her family and loved to be with them - each one was special to her.
Alice is preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde M. Moore; second husband, Lester Hollinger; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Moore; a brother, Lawrence Coy; and a step-grandson, Jacob Heck.
Alice is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven C. Moore of Hollansburg and special friend, Becky Wogoman, Mark C. and Gina Moore of New Paris; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Alex Warner of Greenville; nine grandchildren, Jodi Petersime, Shannon Swank, Wade Moore, Andrea Moore, Stacie Brown, Alison Miller, Lauren Warner, Lukas Moore, and Andrew Moore; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 step children, David and Linda Hollinger of Arcanum, Mary Etta and and Edward Reinhart of Quarryville, PA, Donna Jean and Dewayne Heck of Roseville, Ohio, and Marion Hollinger of Columbus, Ohio; 10 step grandchildren; and 17 step great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren, 373 Love Road, New Paris, Ohio 45347, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. The family will receive friends and guests on Friday, July 27,2012 from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the church and also one hour prior to services on Saturday. Burial will be at the Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be given to Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren or the Resident Aid Fund at Brethren Retirement Community .
