Daniel Joseph Melke

Daniel Joseph Melke Jr., 63, of Ansonia, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2015. Daniel was born on January 14, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Daniel Joseph and Margaret Melkes.

Daniel worked for Bob Drees Construction during his life. He served his country honorably in the United States Marines and the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Melke.

Daniel is survived by his fianc�, Marlene Price of Ansonia; sons, Charles Melke of Dayton and Jonathan Melke of Dayton; daughter, Michelle Evers of North Carolina; step daughter, Samantha Day of Ansonia; grandchildren, Autumn Neff, Kimberly Neff, Loretta Price, Krista Herrera and Laykin Herrera; sisters, Santa Marie Philpot of Dayton, Dottie Melke of Somerset, Kentucky and Pat Thompson of Dayton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family request memorial contributions be given to Braund Pope Funeral Home in New Madison to assist with funeral arrangements.
