Douglas Edward Leeper

Douglas Edward Leeper, 69 of Rossburg, Ohio, passed away on September 24, 2021, at Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.

He was born on January 5, 1952, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Nelson Edward and Nancy Jean (Emig) Leeper.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Leeper, and David Leeper; and a sister-in-law, Karlynn Leeper.

He was a 1970 graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School. Doug was a free spirit and enjoyed life. He has lived all across the country, spending time in Montana, South Dakota, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas. He was a truck driver for a while, then he was an independent cable contractor, then back to driving truck for the past several years. Everyone who knew him enjoyed his company and will miss him dearly.

Doug is survived by his wife, Mildred T. Leeper; his son, Jeremy (Betsy) Yagle, of Versailles, Ohio; and his grandsons, Hayden and Camden Yagle. He is also survived by his brothers, Dennis Leeper of Rossburg, Dane (Linda) Leeper of Ansonia, Ohio, Darin Leeper, North Fort Myers, Florida, Darrell (Cheryl) Leeper of Nokomis, Florida, Darwin (Valerie) Leeper, Dwane Leeper, Dwight (Kim) Leeper all of Rossburg; his sisters, Diane (Tom) Jenkins of Greenville, and Doreen (Chris) Culy of Winchester, Indiana; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Leeper of Rossburg; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
