Edna M. Puterbaugh, 97, of Dayton, passed away Saturday morning, September 24, 2011 at the Sycamore Glen Health Center in Miamisburg. She was born October 4, 1913 in Union City, IN, daughter of the late John Russel and Eva Fern (Richter) Grim. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Raymond Puterbaugh; brothers, Paul, Everett and Bob Grim; and a sister, Alberta Holden. Edna was retired from the State of Ohio having worked several years at the Montgomery County Children’s Services. She was a member of the Kettering Seventh Day Adventist Church and had volunteered at Kettering Medical Center for many years having received her 5000 hour award. She is survived by her sons, John “David” (Barb) Puterbaugh of Dayton, and Edward “Neal” (Lolita) Puterbaugh of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Rae Anne Meuninck, John “David” (Anita) Puterbaugh, II, and Edward Neal "Chip" Puterbaugh, II; great grandchildren, Joshua Alan Meuninck and John David Puterbaugh, III; a sister, Betty Ludwick of Union City, IN; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, October 1, at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, 1000 N. Broadway, Greenville, with Dr. Karl Haffner officiating. Burial will follow in the Teegarden Cemetery near Ansonia, OH. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. If so desired memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Dayton or Cross Roads Hospice; with envelopes available at the funeral home.
