Edna Merle Copeland

Edna M. Copeland, 95, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

She was born on May 1, 1927, in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Charles and Ethel (Reck) O'Dell.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Olga G.
Copeland, in 2002; as well as all her brothers and sisters.

Edna had a long and beautiful life, filled with love, family and friends. She worked as a salesclerk at Sears for 33 years. She was creative and enjoyed crafts and cake decorating. Edna and her husband raised their children to be honest, understanding and supportive of each other. She has read thousands of books throughout her life, but Danielle Steele, romance, mystery, and anything related to the Amish genre were her favorites.

Edna is survived by her children, Karen Gibsen of Greenville, Siena Pemberton of Greenville, and Tim (Cathy) Copeland of New Lebanon, Ohio; her grandchildren, Bruce Gibson, Jason (Carrie) Pemberton, Jeremy Pemberton, Crystal (Paul) Hundley, and Joshua Copeland; her 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Edna's life will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Paul Hundley officiating. Burial will follow at Abbottsville Cemetery.

Her family will be receiving guests on Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of her services at 12 noon at the funeral home.
