Gladys M. Patterson

Gladys M. Patterson, 75, of Greenville and formerly of Ansonia passed away Monday evening, August 13 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. She was born in Union City, OH daughter of the late Walter B. and Sarah E. (Pretsman) Patterson. Gladys had owned the former hotel in Ansonia. She also had worked at Castle's Corner and the Oliver Funeral Home both in Ansonia. She was well known for her rug making skills. She is survived by special adoptive daughters, Judy Coby of Greenville; Karen and Don Newbauer and Diana Griffin of Greenville; special adoptive grandchildren, Jenna, Michael and Colton Coby and Stephanie Gross; special friends, Betty and Bud Archie of Union City, OH; a brother, James and wife Betty Patterson of Union City, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday, August 17 at 1 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Eric Fee officiating. Burial will follow in the Brethren Cemetery near Union City. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from noon till 1 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice.
