Glenn R. Brewer

Glenn R. Brewer, 80, of Ansonia passed away Tuesday morning July 17 at the Versailles Health Care Center. He was born July 12, 1927 in Darke County, son of the late Alpha and Goldie Brewer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Magoto; a sister Juanita Rinehart and 2 sisters in infancy. Glenn was retired from the Ansonia Lumber Company after working for over 40 years. A 1946 graduate of Versailles High School, he was a member of the Ansonia Christian Church, the Ansonia American Legion and the Greenville VFW. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wanda (Kelch) Brewer whom he married on March 18, 1950; 2 sons, Jerry and wife Jennifer Brewer of Ansonia; Jim Brewer of Pitsburg, PA; a daughter, Judy and husband Steve Magoto of Russia; 4 grandchildren, Justin and Jaimie Brewer, Travis and Mandy Magoto; step grandchildren, Bradley and Ashley; and a brother Duane and wife Alice Brewer of Versailles. Services will be held Friday, July 20 at 10:30 a.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev.s. Eric Knight and Lowell Miller co-officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5-8 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice.
