Hazel B. Hileman

June 23, 1929 — January 3, 2009

Hazel B. (Burkett) Hileman, 79, died on January 3, 2009 at her residence and went to be with her Lord. Hazel was born June 23, 1929 to the late Frank and Mary Burkett in Darke County.
She was a member of Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church and of the American Legion Auxillary Post 245. Hazel worked at Fram Corporation, Hency’s Inc., Whirlpool, and also as a pie baker for Fort Black Buffet.
In addition to her parents Hazel is preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Hileman, Jr. whom she married on May 19, 1945; a son, Daniel Hileman; a grandson, Todd Hampton; a brother Gene Burkett, and a sister, Betty Mae Bailey.
Hazel is survived by a daughter, Judi and husband Mike Powell of Greenville; a son Jim and wife Joan Hileman of New Madison; a daughter-in-law, Louise Hileman of New Madison; grandchildren, Ron and Lisa Hileman, Kevin and Kristeen Hileman, Diana and Doyce Aldridge, Kent and Donna Zimmerman, Angel and Sam Pankratz, Gabe and Michele Powell, Teresa and Kenny Miller, Jamie and Kim Hileman, Amber Hileman; Step grandchildren, Roger and Jeanette Ewing, Sean and Manda Plessinger; 24 great grandchildren; special friend Dan Armstrong and many nieces and nephews and also many friends. Hazel is also survived by two brothers Bill Burkett of New Madison, and Jerry and Meredith Burkett of Hollansburg; sister Patty and Victor Henschen of New Knoxville; Sisters-in law Betty Ketring of Arcanum, Marguerite Glunt of Greenville, Mary Hileman of Kansas, and brother-in-law Ralph Hileman of Greenville.
Visitation for Hazel will be from 4:00 p.m.. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Storch Braund Funeral Home in New Madison. Funeral Services with Rev. Doug Baker officiationg will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2009 also at the funeral home.
Memorial contribution may be made to the family in care of Storch Braund Funeral Home.
