Jack E. McCoy, 67, of Greenville, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2008 in Lake Wels, Florida. He was born on December 25, 1940 to the late George M. and Mable E. (Bowers) McCoy. Jack worked as a semi driver most his life, pulled campers, and was owner and operator of Jack’s Radiator Shop. He is retired from the Tri-Village Rescue and the Liberty Twp. Fire Department. Jack was also a member of the Moose Lodge and Moose Legion of Greenville. He loved his family, fishing, playing Bingo and wintering in Florida. In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Joyce A. (Short) McCoy, and an infant son Mike. Jack is survived by two daughters, Mary Jo and fianc�e Dewayne Weyant and Bonnie and fianc�e Dan Dillman both of Greenville; three grandsons, Justin and Jennifer Scantland of Palestine, Jeff & Jenny Weyant of Greenville and Jeremy (Butch) Scantland of Greenville; five Great Grandchildren, Chase Scantland, Quest Scantland, Garrett, Gavin and Blake Weyant; a step grandchild, Jordan Midlam; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Hartshorn of Clyde, Ohio. Visitation for Jack will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2008 at Storch Braund Funeral Home in New Madison. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Short being asked to officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenmound Cemetery There will be a Moose Lodge of Sorrow at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Family ask that contributions be made to the Darke County Cancer Society or The Moose Lodge in Greenville. Arrangements entrusted to Storch Braund Funeral Home.
