Jack L. Hicks

Jack L. Hicks, 75, of Greenville , passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Covington Care Center of Covington, Ohio. He was born March 25, 1936 in Arcanum, son of the late Hershel M. and Cora P. (Timmons) Hicks. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Harvey Hicks. Jack was a plumber for Paulus Plumbing in Greenville and was a member of the Greenville Missionary Church. He is survived by his wife Trenna J. (Buck) Hicks whom he married on December 3, 1953; children, Jack E. Hicks of Greenville, Sherrie J. Hicks of La Canto, FL; a foster son, Martin McClure of Greenville; grandchildren, Christopher A. (Samantha) Hicks, James D. Schlegel, Katherine Schlegel; great grandchildren Laynee, Riley, Shelby, Allen; and a sister, Mary M. (Richard) Prescott. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 20 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Jefferson, Ohio with Pastor Gary Oser officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home.
