Jerry R. Gilbert

Jerry R. Gilbert, 67, of Greenville passed away Friday morning, July 20 at the Covington Care Center. He was born September 26, 1939 in Darke County, son of the late James and Cecile (Pepple) Glibert. A veteran of the US Army, Jerry was retired from Fram/Allied Signal in Greenville. He graduated in 1957 from East Side High School in Union City, OH. He is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. Debbie (Duane) Gower of Union City, OH; Ms. Brenda Spalding of Pleasant Hill; Mrs. Terri (Scott) Clifton of Milford, OH; a foster son, Jeremy Pepper; 6 grandchildren, Dustin Gower, Nikki Gower, Josh Caupp, Michael Colteryahn, Joe Colteryahn and Kylie Clifton; 2 brothers, James (Karen) Gilbert of Union City, IN; Gary(Sharon) Gilbert of Ansonia; a sister, Sue (Mel) Grile of Union City, OH; friend and companion, Sharon Gilbert of Greenville; 3 aunts, 1 uncle and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday, July 23 at 1 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Brock Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 11 a.m. till services at 1 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
