John Eugene Filby

John Eugene Filby, 64, of New Madison, Ohio, passed away on February 25, 2023, at his home.

He was born on October 9, 1958, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Vernie and Mary Ann (Unger) Filby.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Filby.

John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda (Lloyd) Filby, whom he married on July 29, 1978; his children, John Filby and his wife, Ashlee, Matt Filby and his wife, Ashley, and Sara De Schepper and her husband, Trevor, all of Greenville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Knox, Austyn, Alainah, Weston, Layla, and Emmersyn; and his brother, Allen Filby of New Madison.

A celebration of John's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville campus, with Buddy Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison.

John's family will be receiving guests on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
