Karen Hager

July 21, 1954 — April 8, 2013

Karen Sue (Wissler) Hager, 58 of New Paris, passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2013 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Karen was born on July 21, 1954 in Greenville, Ohio to Bill Wissler and the late Mary (Brumbaugh) Wissler.
Karen worked for over 30 years at Richmond State Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician and was a 1972 graduate of Richmond High School. Karen loved to be with her family. Her grandchildren were involved in many sports and she loved going to watch them at their events. She and her husband, Bob, enjoyed bowling when they were younger.
Karen is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Wissler who passed away in December, 2012 and her son, Daniel Hager who passed away in September, 2012.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Bob Hager, whom she married on June 1, 1973; a son and daughter in law; Robbie and Christy Hager of New Madison; a daughter and son in law, Mandy and Kenny Mann of Eaton; eight grandchildren, Brent, Dylan, Kynnedi and Reagyn Hager, Danika Mann, Dessa Hager, Trey, Payton and Madisyn Mann; four sisters and brothers in law, Ann Toney of Richmond, Linda and Tom Sheard of Richmond, Roberta and Mark Porter of Richmond and Vicki Phelps of Richmond; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cedar Grove Church, 373 Love Road, New Paris, Ohio on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 7:00 pm with Rev. Tony Price and Rev. Kyle Herrmann officiating. A visitation for family and friends will also be at the church from 4:00 pm until time of service at 7:00 pm. The family request that memorial contributions be made to Tri-Village Athletic Boosters, National Trail Athletic Boosters, or to Braund Pope Funeral Home .
