Katherine Jane Galentine

Katherine Jane Galentine, 78 of Greenville, Ohio died on Monday, July 4, 2016, at Heritage Nursing Center in Minster, Ohio. Katherine was born Sunday, September 12, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Boyd Williams and the late Joyce Richardson Williams.

Katherine retired from Meadville (PA) Medical Center after 40 years of service. She and her husband relocated to Greenville after her retirement in 2000. She loved her family and all of her pets. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards, and cheering on her Pittsburgh Steelers.

Katherine is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, David Jr. & Gail Galentine of Meadville, PA and Ronald Galentine of Greenville, OH; a daughter, Katherine Joyce Galentine of Greenville, OH and 5 grand children, Tonya and Anthony Makusi, Michael and Suzy Hanes, David M. Galentine III, Jensen Galentine and Ciaira Galentine; 4 great grand children, Justice and Patience Makusi, Hunter Hanes and Irelyn Galentine.

In addition to her parents, Katherine is preceeded in death by her husband, David Max Galentine Sr., a daughter, Sylvia Hanes, a grandson, Jack Hanes,Jr., brothers, Kenneth Williams, Boyd Williams, Richard Williams and George Williams.

Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the Oliver Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, OH with the Reverend Eric Fee officiating. Burial will be at Greenville Union Cemetery, Greenville, OH. Family and Friends may visit from 10:30 am until time of service on Saturday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
