Kathy K. (King)

Kathy K. (King) Thayer, 41 of Arcanum passed away unexpectedly Sunday August 12 at her residence. She was born May 4, 1966 in Dayton daughter of William E. King of Gettysburg and Mary Lou (Hendrickson) and husband Dr. C. William Johnston of Greenville. A 1984 graduate of Greenville Senior High School, Kathy was employed at GTI in Greenville. She loved working with stained glass and doing wood carvings. In addition to her parents, Kathy is survived by her husband Darrell S. Thayer whom she married October 4, 1986; a brother, Kevin King and wife Rene' of Van Wert; a sister, Dr. Kristene Clark and husband Scott of Gettysburg; a step brother, Jeff Johnston and wife Sharon of Greenville; step sister, Edye (Johnston) Head and husband Joe of West Carrollton, OH; step grandmother Wilma Johnston of Fairfield IL; and nieces and nephews. A celebration of Kathy's Life will be held Saturday, August 25 from 1-3 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the March of Dimes.
