Lela K. Ashley 91, of Greenville, formerly of Ansonia, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Rest Haven of Greenville.
She was born March 30, 1921 in Pennville, Indiana, daughter of the late Dwight James and Reba Ruth (Richey) Romine. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Otto W. Ashley; a daughter, Karen K. Ashley; sister, Mary Russell; brother, Dwight Romine, Jr.; son-in-law, John E. Cox; grandson, John W. Cox; and a infant great granddaughter.
Lela was a homemaker and retired from home care nursing. Former member of the American Legion Portland, Indiana.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Doug) Coby of Greenville and Dianna Griffin of Greenville; 9 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
