Mary L. Lacy

March 4, 1947 — February 23, 2022

Mary Louise Lacy, 74, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the EverHeart Care Center in Greenville.

She was born on March 4, 1947, in North Star, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Marie (Newman) Magoto.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Gene Magoto and Mike Magoto.

Mary worked at Versailles Healthcare for over 23 years as a dietary assistant until her retirement in February of 2014. When she was not caring for those in the nursing home, Mary was caring for her own family. Family was everything to Mary. She loved simply being with them and was always spoiling her grandkids. Mary even cared for her parents in their later years; always making sure they had the best care possible. Mary liked to go fishing, especially with her grandkids. She enjoyed watching sports and rooting for the Reds, Buckeyes, and Bengals.

Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Aaron Bey of Rossburg, Ohio; her grandchildren, Alysia and Ethan Raby of New Carlisle, Ohio, Justin Hoying and fiance, Zoe Reynolds, of Greenville, Kyle Hoying of Celina, Ohio, Jared Hoying and Kelsey Rhoades of Rossburg, Dustin Bey of Cedar Springs, Michigan, and Lyndsey Hoying of Rossburg; her great grandchild, Aiden Raby; her siblings, John Magoto of Union City, Ohio, Jerry Magoto of Greenville, Ralph and Betty Magoto of Ansonia, Eva Tovez of Fort Loramie, Ohio, and Ronnie Magoto of Greenville; her nephews, Kevin Caudill, Bill Fraley, and Bob Fraley; and her beloved dog, Gracie.

Mary's family will be having a reception of family and friends on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus from 4:00 until 7:00 PM.
