Mary R. Snyder

Mary R. Snyder, 79, of Greenville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday morning, January 29, 2009 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. She was born in Albany, IN, daughter of the late Samuel Clifford Brown and Agnes Anna (Flauding) Brown-Eley. Mary was a member of the Greenville Church of The Nazarene and a former member of the Greenville Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James G. Snyder, whom she married September 29, 1946; her children, Carolyn (Thaddeus) Shore of Fairfax Station, VA, Paul Snyder of Sidney, Mark (Barbara) Snyder, John (Paula) Snyder and Janet (Tom) Koons all of Greenville; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a sister, Martha (Frank) Chilton of Largo, FL. Services will be held Monday, February 2, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Greenville Church of the Nazarene with the Revs. Wayne Thomas and Tom Davis co-officiating. Burial will follow in the Lisbon Cemetery near Union City, IN. The family will receive friends at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the American Stroke Association.
