Pauline G. Oliver, 97, of Greenville, passed away early Sunday morning, January 16, 2011 at Sterling House in Greenville. She was born December 13, 1913 in Greenville Township, Darke County, daughter of the late Ernest and Sadie (Katzenberger) Ault. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gladden C. Oliver on July 8, 1985, and a daughter, Charlotte Spencer. Pauline was a licensed funeral director in the state of Ohio for over 50 years. In 1944, Pauline and her husband Gladden started the Oliver Funeral Home in Ansonia. In 1958 they expanded with the addition of the funeral home in Greenville. She was a member of the EUM Church in Greenville and was a former member of the Greenville Music Club. She is survived by two sons, Benton (Bonnie) Oliver of Gallatin, TN, and Roger (Jerilyn) Oliver of Greenville; grandchildren, Tina (Dan) Ross, Becky (Keith) Reed, Tim (Claire) Oliver, Nanci (Mark) Willman, and Mike Oliver; step grandchildren, Chad (Melissa) Yoakam, Heather (Yoakam) Balent, and Josh Yoakam; great grandchildren, Jane and David Ross, Lincoln and Olivia Reed, Sam and Nora Oliver, Grant and Evan Willman, and Katie Oliver; and step great grandchildren, Nick and Ryan Balent, Samantha and Jeremy Yoakam, and Jacob Cristiano-Yoakam. Services will be held Tuesday, January 18 at 3 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Mrs. Sylvia McKibben officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6-8 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
