Ronald Edward Bucholtz

Ronald "Ron" Bucholtz, age 68, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, with his loving family by his side, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.

He was born on March 18, 1953, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Russell and Lola Marie (Brooks) Bucholtz.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Bucholtz.

Ron was a 1971 graduate of Franklin Monroe High School. He was active in the FFA where he held a State Degree. He was an Honorary Chapter Member of the Franklin Monroe FFA. Ron was a lifelong hog and grain farmer and hard worker. He always stayed busy piddling with farm equipment. Later in life, he and his wife enjoyed spending their winters in Florida where his time was dedicated to restoring his antique tractors. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Ron cherished his relationship with family and friends. He will be missed beyond measure.

Ron is survived by his wife, Karen (Lehman) Bucholtz, whom he married on October 18, 1975; his sons, Ned (Emily) Bucholtz and Ben (Breanne) Bucholtz both of Greenville; his grandchildren, Allison, Rileigh, Ethan and Jace; his sister, Sharon (Fred) Harpest; his brother, Tim Bucholtz; his sister-in-law, Julie (Ben) Shields; as well as his nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow at Gettysburg Cemetery.

Ron's family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
