Steve Willliam Drew

On March 18, 2009 the Lord called Steve W. Drew, 64, of Hollansburg, home to be with Him. He passed away at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Steve was born on May 7, 1944 in Richmond, IN son of the late Ralph and Jean Drew.
Steve lived in the local area his whole life. He was employed with Divco Wayne and Carpenters in Richmond, IN until retirement. He was a member of the Indiana National Guard for six years. Steve’s family was important to him and he enjoyed the times when the family gathered. He especially loved his grandchildren and frequently attended their activities. Steve looked forward to their annual family trip to Michigan to hunt mushrooms and enjoyed playing cards with family. He enjoyed building and pulling tractors and was a member of the Darke County and Ohio State Tractor Puller’s Association.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda L. (Baker) Drew; his son Kirt (Sarah) Drew; and his Daughter Lisa Guinn (Chris) and Stacy Flatter (Tommy); six grandchildren, Heather Bolin, Dustin Kenworthy, Mike, Dalton, and Dillon Flatter, and Luke Drew; a brother, Ronnie Drew and three sisters Shirley Spurrier, Marsha Spurrier, and Sherri McClellan.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Storch Braund Funeral Home on Monday, March 23, 2009 with Rev. Eric Fee being asked to officiate. Friends may call on the family from 1:00-4:00 PM, on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Storch Braund Funeral Home.
Family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Tri-Village Rescue, donations being received at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.storchbraundfuneralhome.com. Services are entrusted to Storch Braund Funeral Home in New Madason.
