Valerie G. (Prim) Jones, 58, of Greenville, went to be with her Savior on April 11, 2014 at her residence. Valerie was born on September 23, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Lester and Doris (Rudolph) Prim.
Valerie enjoyed being a homemaker during her life. Her passions included Bible studies, praise and worship, reading books, being a caretaker and encouraging people. Valerie was a great writer and loved to laugh. Her greatest joys were spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, Valerie is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth "Ken" Jones who passed away on October 29, 1996; a brother, Byron Prim and an infant sister, Gloria May Prim.
Valerie is survived by a son, Adam Jones of Greenville; two daughters, Mandy Jones of Arcanum and Molly Jones of Greenville; three grandchildren, Brooklynn, Cheyenne and Michael Buteau of Arcanum; two brothers, Randy Prim of Ft. Meyers, Florida, Jerry and Lori Leigh Prim of Kissimmee, Florida; three sisters, Wanda and Bill Gilbert of Cape Coral, Florida, Melody and Phillip Rike of West Milton, Ohio and Lori and Ken Moyer of Quakertown, Pennsylvania; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Lighthouse Christian Center in Greenville with Rev. Hershel Fee officiating. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10:00 AM - noon. Burial will follow in the Greenville-Union Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be given to the funeral home to assist with the arrangements.
