Wayne Bryan Day

December 27, 1973 — August 24, 2019

Wayne Bryan Day, 45, of Morocco, Indiana, formerly of Greenville, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 24, 2019, due to a motor vehicle accident.

He was born on December 27, 1973, in Omaha, Nebraska to the Roger Day of Macedonia, Iowa and the late Judy (Huntley) Day.

When Wayne saw our Lord for the first time, he heard Him say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant". Wayne was known for loving Jesus Christ, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, big dogs, big buns, his family and friends. It can be said that he loved deeply and laughed often. Wayne exemplified God's love and touched many lives. He can be described as a hard worker, a dreamer, and an innovative "idea guy". Wayne was quick to lend a hand, very supportive, and had a servant's heart.

Whenever you saw this gentle giant, in his bib overalls or suspenders, you could count on a warm smile, a bear hug that would lift you off the ground, or a really-really high five. Often Wayne's reply to a statement was "That's what she said". He was known as a playful instigator to many. Wayne was active in several rabbit clubs and the Walk to Emmaus. He was adopted into some families as "my BIG little brother from another mother", and many referred to him as uncle. When told to "have a good day", he would always reply, "I AM a good Day!".

In addition to his father, Wayne is survived by his wife Beverly Kay (Burnside) Day whom he married October 18, 2014; his step-mother, Susie Day of Macedonia; his children, Drew Burns and his fiance Spring Koger of Columbus, Ohio, Maleigha Day of Jeffersontown, Kentucky, Monica Laackmann of Greenville, Ohio, Taylor Day of Richmond, Indiana, and Bryan Day of Greenville; his grandchildren, Athena Werner, and Avery Collett; his sister, Lisa Greenhagen and her husband Scott of Bellevue, Nebraska; his step-brothers, Jeromy and Jason Manosh; and countless other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Wayne's life will be held at 12 - noon on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at EUM Church Worship Center, 1451 Sater Street, Greenville, Ohio 45331, with Pastor Jeff Harper officiating. Wayne loved his jeans, suspenders and bib overalls and in memory of Wayne, casual attire is encouraged.
