Wilbur Shotz, 83, of Greenville, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 10 at Heartland of Greenville. He was born in Casstown, OH son of the late Christian J and Mary (Asher) Shotz. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Reta Betty (Beam) Shotz in 1970; three sisters, Anna Stoner and two in infancy; and two infant brothers. Wilbur was retired from New Idea in Coldwater where he had worked from 42 years. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII. He was a member of the Ansonia American Legion and the Greenville VFW. He is survived by his second wife, Dolores (Magoto) Shotz whom he married Oct. 20, 1973; his children, Pam (Paul) Weaver of Greenville, David (and Friend Lanna) Shotz of Greenville, Mark (and friend Bonnie) Shotz of Texas, Joe (Linda) Magoto of Ansonia, Stella (Susan Shotz) Gunthery and friend Larry of Greenville; HE also raised Cindy (Beam) Fitzgerald and Cheryl (Beam) Lafuze; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Services will be held Friday February 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville with the Rev. Steve Short officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Brock Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
