Willa Dean Whitesel

Willa Dean "Billie" Whitesel, 98, of Union City, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Greenville.

She was born on September 18, 1923, to the late Albert and Myrtle Williamson.

In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Ralph "Cy" Whitesel, in 2014, whom she married on December 31, 1941; her sons, John Mark Whitesel and James Scott Whitesel; and 1 brother and 5 sisters.

Billie was a nurse for Randolph County Hospital and was a farm wife for many years. Her faith was very important to her.

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Brandon of Arcanum, Ohio, Linda (Lee) Bridges of Union City, Ohio; her 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Billie's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Dave Napier officiating.

Guests may visit with her family on Monday, October 25, 2021, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
