Wyoneda Spencer Stephens

Wyoneda "Wonnie" Spencer Stephens, 96, of Hollansburg, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.

She was born on September 1, 1924, in Darke County to the late Marshall and Grace (Martin) Wiley.

In addition to her parents, Wonnie was preceded in death by her first husband, Lowell E. Spencer and her second husband, Marion R. Stephens; her children, Cindy Winterrowd, and Todd Stephens; her daughter-in-law, Rebecca Spencer; her grandsons, Daniel Brubaker (Daren's infant twin), Chase Spencer, and Joseph Stephens; and her siblings, Paul Eugene Wiley, Jeanette Ricker, and Richard Wiley.

Wonnie attended school in New Madison and she later retired from Fram in Greenville. She was a member of both Hollansburg Christian Church and Hollansburg American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling with family, with special memories of travels to sunny Florida.

Wonnie is survived by her children, Ginger (Paul) Brubaker of Greenville and Toby Spencer and significant other, Deb Thobe of New Madison; her son-in-law, Ted Winterrowd of Fort Meyer, Florida; her grandchildren, Robin (John) Blinn of Greenville, Daren (Chris) Brubaker of Tallahassee, Florida, Amy (Michael) Fulk of Union City, Indiana, Carmen (David) Beasley of Stow, Ohio, Troy Winterrowd of Asheville, North Carolina, Nathan Sebring of Richmond, Indiana, Aaron (Chantelle) Sebring of Greenville, Justin (Marissa Steen) Spencer of New Madison, Eliza Bair of West Elkton, Ohio, Chad (Heather) Stephens of Hollansburg, and David (Ashley) Stephens of Bellbrook, Ohio; her 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Wonnie's family will be receiving guests on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus.

A private family burial will take place at Hollansburg Cemetery with Pastor Tracy Brown officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hollansburg American Legion, Post 708.
