Alvina M. Brooks

Alvina M. Brooks, 91, of Greenville, passed away early Thursday morning, December 16, 2010 at the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. She was born April 6, 1919 in Union City, OH, daughter of the late William J. and Margaret (Hart) Fiely. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life for over 60 years, Thomas C. Brooks on April 29, 1999; a son, Donald E. Brooks; and a sister, Mildred Hodits; and a brother, Edwin Fiely. Alvina is survived by her children, Thomas W. (Judy) Brooks of Fairfield Glade, TN, and Richard L. (Christel) Brooks of New Madison; grandchildren, Claire Williams, Robert A. Brooks, Robin  Egres;  and numerous  great grandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date. There will be no public visitation. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice. Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
