Angela M. Lawson

April 4, 1965 — May 29, 2024

Arcanum, Ohio

Angela Monique (Shroyer) Lawson was born on April 4, 1965, and Joyfully left this earth to be with Jesus on May 29, 2024.

She fought a Rock Star battle with cancer, and it is with grateful hearts that we can say she has received her healing.

She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Scott, her son Jeremiah Richards, Mom Judi Shroyer, Sister Daphne Laux, Niece Rachel Osswald (Aaron) her two precious great nephews Xavier and Bennet who lovingly knew her as GaGa, friend Ed Richards and others that knew and loved her and will remember her always.

She and Scott were married on February 23, 2013, and were not just husband and wife but best friends. Their love of Mexican food and binge watching their favorite TV shows kept them laughing and they enjoyed each other's company as best friends do. Scott cared for Ang tirelessly on this journey, always reminding her that she is the love of his life. He never left her side and showed tremendous devotion, love and caring while continuously covering her in prayer. This devotion changed her final days with us tremendously and we will be forever grateful.

She and her son shared a love of music, wrestling and movie going. Nothing meant more to her than spending time with him enjoying the things together that they both loved so much.

She loved her mother's garden and would often have those flowers next to her when in bloom.  She knew that her mother's prayers covered her all her life wherever she was. They shared many adventures together that would bring laughter when reminiscing.

She and her sister shared a love of "little things" and enjoyed finding special little things each other would treasure. They enjoyed watching Marvel movies together, arguing over Captain American vs Ironman as the greatest superhero ever. Ang was known to let others know that Ironman was her " brother from another mother" because they shared a birthday.

She loved all animals more than life itself; she was even known to feed the squirrels in case they couldn't find food on their own and she would have gladly taken in every stray she ever met.  Her dream was to open a pet food pantry so that no one would ever have to surrender their animals during difficult times. While she wasn't able to fulfill that dream during her time here, we will be donating money in her honor to an organization that does exactly what she herself dreamt of doing. She was very much looking forward to being reunited with her best furry friends, especially Munster, in heaven. We believe that every animal she ever loved and cared for welcomed her to heaven with lots of kisses and tails wagging.

Ang will always be remembered for her creative (hilarious) storytelling, her heart for those that were suffering and her ability to take care of others with great care and love.

She was an amazing caregiver both in employment and to her grandma and grandpa Emrick. It was definitely a gift of hers that blessed the lives of those she touched.

She loved her family with a fierceness unique to her. She was funny, ornery, giving and loving...she was both a fighter and a defender.

She is deeply loved by her family and will be deeply missed. The sound of her voice and her laughter will forever fill their hearts.

In her last days on this earth, she expressed many times her great desire to be with Jesus and even said to her family days before her passing "Guess who's here?! Guess who's here??!, Jesus is here." She was so looking forward to her heavenly home and there is no doubt there was a lot of laughter and tears when she arrived. She was greeted by her dad and so many family and friends that arrived there before her.

We take such great comfort in the fact that she is now at peace for all of eternity in the care of her Heavenly Father.

There will be a private celebration of her life for the family.

Tribute Funeral Homes is serving her family.

Flowers are welcome and donations to Pet Food Pantry; Columbus Humane Essential Care Center, 3772 S. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207, can also be made in her honor of her in lieu of flowers.
