Barbara Lou Heck, age 85 of Greenville, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville. She was born on September 28, 1938 in Greenville to the late Clarence and Lena Thwaits.

In addition to her parents, Barb is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Heck; son, Tim Heck; grandson in law, Matt Hiestand; brother, Jack Good; sister, Alreada (Bill) Kammer; sister, Mary (Bill) Rihm; sister, Shirley Dennlinger; sister, Lena “Marie” Rieman; nephew, Gary Dennlinger; and brother-in-law, Ronnie Bennett.

Barb is survived by her son, Randy (Lisa) Heck; daughter, Sherry (Paul) Klingshirn; grandchildren, Nikki Hiestand, Amy (Doug) Albers, Chad (Samantha) Klingshirn, Denney (Jacqueline) Heck, Seth Klingshirn, and Brandon, Abby, and Noah Heck; brother, Ronnie (Patty) Thwaits; sister, Iris Bennett; sister-in-law, Carol Good; brother-in-law, Gene Rieman; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She enjoyed playing bingo, board games, coloring, and shopping. Barb belonged to Ansonia American Legion. She spent most of her life as a housewife and raising her children.
