Catherine (Mong) Byrne

Catherine (Mong) Byrne, age 92, passed away Friday, June 22,2012 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born June 11, 1920 in Greenville, Ohio. She was the daughter of Chester and Gennieve Mong. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marcena Byrne, brothers LaDon Mong, Morris Mong and a sister Jennetta Stockslager. She is survived by her son, M. Mikel Byrne (wife,Vicki) of Middlesboro, KY; grandson Jon-Mikel Byrne (wife,Bryant) of Charleston, SC; a great- granddaughter Kylie Blair Byrne of Charleston, SC; a sister Faye Cook of Matlacha, FL; nephews, Ronald Mong of Upper Sandusky, OH, Donald Mong of Lake City, FL, John Stockslager, Harold Stockslager, both of Greenville, OH, Phillip Stockslager of FL; and a niece, Janet Hunley, of Indianapolis, IN. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 26 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio with Catherines's great nephew Rev. Tony Hunley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m.
