Charles Brent Coursey, 68, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
He was born on August 9, 1953, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Charles and Martha (Driggers) Coursey.
Brent had an unrelenting passion for music. There weren't many instruments he couldn't play. While in high school, he was a percussionist in the marching band, and later taught himself how to play piano and guitar. However, his primary instrument of choice was bass guitar. Brent was a member of a host of musical groups throughout his life, performing in several venues across the Eastern United States. He was a member of the East Main Street Church of Christ in Greenville. After high school, Brent served his country honorably in the United States Army. Other than being a versatile musician, he was also known and will be remembered for his quick wit and humor. He always made everyone laugh.
Brent is survived by his Fiancé, Robin Palsgrove, of Greenville; his brothers, Tom (Margaret) Coursey of Powder Springs, Georgia, and John (Jann) Coursey of Seattle, Washington; his sisters, Mary Martha (Bob) Scarr and LouEllyn (Dale) Saylors, all of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of extended family.
A celebration of Brent's life will be held at 2 PM, on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at East Main Street Church of Christ, 419 E. Main Street, Greenville with Pastor Jim Morehouse officiating.
