Darrel D. Trittschuh

Darrel D. Trittschuh, age 83, of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.

He was born on April 21, 1943, in Union City, Indiana, and was the only child of the late Ralph and Florance (Miller) Trittschuh.

Darrel is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judy (Shields) Trittschuh, whom he married on December 4, 1972; his children, Suzette Rathke of Columbus, Ohio, Darrel (Bobbie) Trittschuh of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Lorinda Goubeaux of Ansonia; his grandchildren, Gabbi (Ryan) Welsh, Jarrett (Ally) Goubeaux, Haley Goubeaux, Max Rathke, Madelyn Trittschuh, and Graham Trittschuh.

Darrel was a 1961 graduate of Ansonia High School. A lifelong farmer, he found great joy in working the land, caring for his animals, and tending to the family garden. He entered many of his homegrown produce in the Great Darke County Fair over the years. In addition to farming, Darrel worked for Sheller-Globe Corporation, Union City Body Company, and Whirlpool Corporation for several years.

Darrel always enjoyed a good game of Aggravation, sharing his renowned "Dad jokes," and savoring Judy's cooking. Like many farmers, he was especially fond of his flannel shirts, which became one of his trademark comforts.

Private family services will take place at the convenience of his family. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
