David Dwight Shook, age 81, of Ansonia, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
He was born on October 16, 1943 in Celina, OH to the late Ural and Edith (Grile) Shook.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Shook; brother, Donnie Shook; and infant sister.
Those left to cherish David's memory include his sons, Darrin (Cindy) Shook of Ansonia and Ryan (Jennifer) Shook of Laura, OH; sister, Diana (Paul) Armstrong of Colborne, ON, Canada; grandchildren, Danielle (Brent) Shook Haskell, Samantha (Tyler) Shook Young, Matthew (Bailey) Shook, and Camara Shook; and great grandchildren, Layla Young, Elnora Haskell, Reid Young, and baby Young coming in December; and special cousin, Genie Clouse.
David graduated from Union City Wayne High School. He owned Shook Tool for over 40 years. David was a hard worker and avid family man. He enjoyed family gatherings and attending his children's and grandchildren's events. In his free time, David enjoyed fishing.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville.
A funeral service will be at Noon on Friday, October 17, 2025 following the visitation at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Shook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ansonia Rescue or Ansonia Fire Department.
