Doriel "Stude" Ozro Studebaker

Doriel "Stude" Ozro Studebaker, age 76, of New Madison, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Union City Care Center.

He was born on January 12, 1950 to the late Harold and Caroline (Westfall) Studebaker.

In addition to his parents, Stude is preceded in death by his sister, Doris Church.

Those left to cherish Stude's memory include his daughters, Amy (Jamie) Wright of Greenville and Kelly Studebaker of New Madison; grandchildren, Renee Weaver, Karsi (Hunter) Willhite, and Addy Wright; one great grandson, Bowden Willhite; numerous nieces and nephews; and the many friends who became family along the way.

Stude was a 1969 graduate of New Madison High School and spent many years working at Union City Body Company before retiring. He was a proud supporter of Tri-Village Schools and its athletic programs, always showing his love for the community he called home. He was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes and Los Angeles Dodgers fan, and he enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams whenever he could.

If you knew Stude, you could probably picture him riding his scooter around New Madison or sitting at the bar at Schlechty's, enjoying a cold Busch Light. These familiar sights were part of what made Stude so special. He was a true fixture in his community, someone whose presence, personality, and everyday routines became woven into the lives of those around him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tribute Funeral Homes to help offset funeral expenses for Stude.

A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville. In true Stude fashion, family and friends are encouraged to wear their favorite Ohio State Buckeyes gear in his honor.

A service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 16, 2026 at the funeral home with Tommy Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison.
