Dorothy M. Parent

Dorothy M. Parent, 86 of Greenville passed away Sunday morning July 17 at Wayne Hospital in Greenville. She was born March 7, 1921 in Montgomery County daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Hatcher) Swihart. In addtion to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gail H. "Dutch" Parent on January 8, 1981, a brother Charles Swihart, Jr. and a sister Mary Peden. A homemaker, Dorothy was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 140 Auxiliary. She is survived by 2 sons, Terry Parent and Gary and wife Annette parent both of Greenville; 4 grandchildren, Cassie, Mandy, Whitney and Shannon Parent; and a sister June Withrow of Middletown. Private services were held Tuesday with the Rev. Haldon Robarge officiating. Burial followed in the St. John Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
