Earl T. Garland, 83, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Maple Gardens Nursing Home in Eaton, Ohio.
He was born on June 7, 1938, in Barbourville, Kentucky, to the late Maynard and Amanda (Grey) Garland.
In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty (Rowand) Garland; his sisters, Mary Maxwell, and Betty Yount; his brother, Charles Garland; and 6 infant siblings; and his mother-in-law, Winnora (Mendenhall) Rowand, and his sister-in-law, Myrtle Rowand.
Earl is survived by his children, Tim (Tammy) Garland, Jim Garland, Tammy (Randy) Elliott, Kim (Patti) Garland, Pam Garland, and Tom Garland; his grandchildren, Corey (Jessica) Garland, Ryan Garland, Matt (Cayla) Garland, Misty (Kyle) Cruea, Kristy (Alex) Kirtley, Dustin (Lauren) Elliott, Kody (Ashley) Garland, Jeremy Garland, and Kandis (Brandon) Mount. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Danica, Lillian, and Julian Garland, Kaylynn, Adylynn, Blake, Lana, and Gabriel Garland, Kale Cruea, Ayden and Lainee Hackney, Serenah Kirtley, Avery and Cade Elliott, Braelynn, Avery, and Ryker Garland, Maci and Harper Mount; his sister, Joann Purdue; his brothers, Ray Garland, Sonny Garland, Jerry Garland, Jackie Garland, and Eddie Garland; and countless other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Earl was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He really loved hanging out with his grandkids. Earl enjoyed fishing, muscles cars and watching sports, especially the Buccaneers.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
