Edward Ray Swank

Edward R. Swank, 59, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at Wayne Health Care Center, Greenville, Ohio.

He was born September 16, 1953, in Darke, County, Ohio, a son of the late Marvin and Glenna (North) Swank. In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Swank.

Ed loved 4-H and was an adviser for the Dogone Kids 4-H Club for over 19 years.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Susan (Detrick) Swank whom he married October 16, 1982; children, Christopher (Shannon) Swank, Matt Swank and Kelli Swank all of Greenville, Ohio; 2 grandchildren, Dalton and Gavin Swank.

Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial in Covington, Ohio.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 – 7 P.M. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, 1000 N. Broadway, Greenville, OH, 45331. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Darke County 4-H, 603 Wagner Avenue, Greenville, Ohio, 45331.
