Garner L. Moore, age 84, of Union City, Ohio, fell asleep in Christ on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at his home.
He was born on April 9, 1941, in Union City, IN, to the late Orus and Opal (Bailey) Moore.
In addition to his parents, Garner was preceded in death by his siblings, Ceresa, Franz, and Larie; his son, Garner K.; and his granddaughter, Morgan Renee McKay.
Garner is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 57 years, Nancy (Snyder) Moore, who he married December 27, 1968; his daughter, Michelle (Michael) McKay of Powell, OH; and granddaughter, Madison (Cody) Burdett of Plain City, OH.
He worked most of his life at Sheller Globe as a Data Processing Manager. He was also a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the Union City Fire Department. Garner was a United States National Guard Veteran. While serving, Garner was deployed to areas demolished by tornadoes and served people in Puerto Rico. His favorite past time was riding motorcycles, starting at age 14 years old.
Garner served several times as Elder, Deacon, and taught Sunday school, Catechism, VBS, sang in the choir, rang the bells, gave sermons, and buried the deceased at Trinity Lutheran Church.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens with Pastor Alliyah Blakeley officiating.
