Gregory Whistler

October 17, 1965 — April 8, 2024

Gregory Whistler, age 58 of Greenville, passed away on April 8, 2024 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. 

He was born on October 17, 1965 in Union City, IN to Judy (Liggett) Brode and her late husband Floyd Whistler. 

In addition to his father, Gregory is preceded in death by his step-father, Donald Brode; grandparents, Thomas and Virginia Ruth Liggett and Raymond and Hazel Whistler; uncle Marvin Pearson; and cousin, Debra Johnsman.

Gregory is survived by his mother, Judy Brode; step-mother, Rayna Whistler; aunts, Peggy Pearson and Connie Imel; step-sister, Kellie Johnson; and numerous cousins and his special cat, Martin. 

Gregory graduated from Greenville High School in 1984. He worked at Lowes in Greenville. Gregory was a fond member of the Beech Grove Church of the Brethren in Hollansburg. He enjoyed dinning out, fishing, and watching tv. Gregory was a gentle spirit, who never knew a stranger and will be missed by everybody who knew him. 

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Beech Grove Church of the Brethren in Hollansburg with Pastor George Glaze and Pastor Dan Ferguson officiating.
