Harold "Gene" E. Moore, 93, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Versailles Healthcare in Versailles, Ohio. 

He was born on May 18, 1931, in Richmond, Indiana, to the late George and Ertie (Richards) Moore. 

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. (Kenworthy) Moore, whom he married on January 27, 1951 and who passed away on May 19, 2021; his son-in-law, Ron Kauffman; and his siblings, Fred Rothermel, George Rothermel, and Betty Pavey. 

Gene is survived by his children, Michael (Polly) Moore of Florida, Gary (Cindy) Moore of Greenville, Teresa Kauffman of Hollanburg, Ohio, and Jody (Larry) Fannin of Tennessee; his 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Gene graduated from Hollansburg High School. He retired from Daymark Trucking in Russellville, AR. As the company moved to different states so did Gene, Daymark originated in Dayton, Ohio where Gene began his career. He enjoyed camping, traveling, and going to antique stores. Gene and Barbara spent many winters living in Florida. 

Gene will be laid to rest during a graveside service on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:30 AM in Hollansburg Cemetery.
