Jeannie Lynn Fritz-Compton

Jeannie Lynn Fritz-Compton, 65, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.


She was born on April 15, 1957, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Floyd and Norma (Keihl) Wetzel.


In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Wetzel, and her nephew, Eric Stephan.

Jeannie spent most of her life as a homemaker. She had a heart of gold and was known for her open-door policy where she loved and cared for anyone who walked through. Jeannie absolutely loved crafts. From making them to giving them away, her cherished crafts will always be remembered.


Jeannie is survived by her children, Heather Voisard of Collierville, Tennessee, and Matthew Cook of Surgoinsville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Tyler Fritz, Cody Reed, and Wyatt Reed; her siblings, Trudy Eastland of Greenville, Linda Lou Wetzel of Arizona, Robert (Patricia) Fritz of Greenville, David (Sheryll) Wetzel of New Madison, Sandra (Lawrence) Clements of Kodak, Tennessee, and Tonja (Mike) Plankenhorn of New Paris; her nieces and nephews, Brian, Angela, Megan, Mandy, Lawrence, Victoria, and Isaac; her great nephews, Brayden, Sawyer, and Hudson; special cousins, Kathy and Alan; and many other family and friends.


Jeannie was a fun-loving woman and the life of every party. To honor her memory, we'd like to invite friends and family to join us for a celebration of her life on Saturday, April 15, 2023 (Jeannie's Birthday), at the VFW located at 219 N Ohio Street in Greenville from 1:00PM to 3:00PM, to share memories of the joy she brought those who knew her.
