Jeff Collins

Jeff Collins, 78, of New Madison, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana.

He was born on April 4, 1945, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to the late Thomas Issac and Hazel Minta (Slone) Collins.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his siblings, George Collins, Bernice Figiola, Dolly Parker, Bobby Jack Collins, Gail Thompson, Ronnie Collins and Danny Collins.

Jeff loved spending time with his grandchildren and the "adopted" grandchildren from around the neighborhood. He enjoyed working in his yard and was proud of his garden. He will be missed for his wonderful sense of humor as he was always able to make those around him laugh.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 58 years, Geraldine (Maynard) Collins, whom he married on November 14, 1964; his children, Connie (Scott) Cunningham of Englewood, Ohio, Jeffrey (Alysa) Collins of New Madison, and Anthony (Shannon) Collins of New Madison; his six grandchildren, Kelli (Rodney) Evans, Kaitlyn (Tim Hartings) Cunningham, Chase Collins, Aiden Collins, Xander Collins and Liam Collins; his three great-grandchildren, Tyson and Scarlett Evans and Colson Hartings; his siblings Charlie Collins of Lexington, Kentucky, Ruey (Rozy) of Houston, Texas, Steven Collins, Pikeville, Kentucky, Jewel Allen of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Sharon "Penny" (Freddie) Adkins of Raccoon, Kentucky; as well as a ton of nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Harrison Street Baptist Church in New Madison, Ohio, with Pastor Kyle Herrmann officiating.
