John Morgan DeBord

John Morgan DeBord, age 38, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at his home.

He was born on March 21, 1988, in Greenville to Donald and Jana (Brewer) DeBord.

John was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dean Brewer.

Left to cherish John's memory are his loving parents, Donald and Jana DeBord; siblings, Lisa (Dennis) Hardin, Misty DeBord, Stephanie Knowles, William (Ashley) DeBord, and Olivia DeBord; nieces and nephews, Ashlee, Liam, Caleb, Sawyer, Saylor, and Grayson; and his grandmother, Thelma Brewer.

John was a 2006 graduate of Greenville High School. He worked for many years as a subcontractor for Creative Carpet in Greenville. John was truly a jack of all trades. There was very little he couldn't fix, build, or figure out, and he was known for his hard work. He also had a tremendous love for animals, especially his dogs and cats, who were a very important part of his life.

John had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, riding side-by-sides, and four-wheeling. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could always find a way to make those around him laugh. He especially loved joking around with his family, and some of the moments they shared with him will undoubtedly become the stories they tell for years to come.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tribute Funeral Homes to help offset the expenses of John's funeral.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
