John M. Esser

John M. Esser, age 69, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville.

John was born in Coldwater, Ohio, on August 21, 1952, to the late John Sylvester and Mary Lou (Ritchie) Esser.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Poling; his brother, Jerry Esser; and his granddaughter, Allison Bree.

John was a 1971 graduate of Ansonia High School. He worked for several decades as a metal worker. John loved his family and was faithful to attend their many events. He enjoyed supporting the grandchildren's sporting events and was very proud of his family. John's favorite hobby was capturing photographs of his loved ones and nature.

John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sue (Turner) Esser, whom he married on November 3, 1974; his children, Brian Esser of Greenville, Krista (Blain) Henderson of Ansonia, and Andrew (Amy) Esser of Greenville; his grandchildren, Trinity and Zane Henderson, and Madisyn and Jameson Esser; his sister, Karen (Chris) Steele of Navarre, Florida; his brother-in-law, Ron Poling of San Antonio, Texas; his sister-in-law, Renee Esser of Poquoson, Virginia; his aunt, Shirley Partin of Van Wert, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.

A celebration of John's life will take place at a later date.

Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, is serving John's family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in John's name to the Ansonia High School Athletic Department, PO Box 279, Ansonia, Ohio 45303.
