John William Franklin, 53, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at his home.
He was born on January 22, 1969, in Greenville to the late Robert Franklin and Shirley (Bromagen) Ferrante.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Jessica Ferrante.
John is survived by his children, Amber (Jacob) Moore of Greenville, and Allison Franklin of Greenville; his grandchildren, Kennedy, Charlotte, and Henry Moore; his brother, Robert (Dawn) Franklin of Greenville; his niece, Rachel Middlestetter; and his nephew, Bobby Franklin. John is also survived by his special friend, Brenda Pollitt and several step children; and his dear friend, Cory Hocker.
John graduated from Greenville High School. He had an amazing personality, always making people laugh and voted class clown by his classmates. As he got older, he never lost that spark and never let an opportunity to make a joke go to waste. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling, winning at least two 300 rings. When he wasn't watching football, he was watching trivia shows and game shows. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
John's family will be receiving guests from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus.
A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Greenville.
