Judith "Judie" Kay Hathaway, age 83, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

She was born on January 20, 1942, in Elwood, Indiana to the late Robert and Evelyn Juanita Cole.

In addition to her parents, Judie was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Hathaway, whom she married on March 17, 1965, and passed away on March 26, 2021; and her son, Thomas Hathaway.

Judie is survived by her son, Robert Hathaway of Greenville; her grandchildren, Dusty Hathaway, Derek (Laura) Hathaway, Dylan Hathaway, Demi Hathaway, Dani Hathaway, Kylie (Chad) Warner, Eli Hathaway, Michael Holdaman, and Madison Hathaway; her 6 great grandchildren; her brothers, Scott (Susie) Cole of Little York, Indiana, Robert "Bob" (Vicky) Cole of Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Gary (Tish) Cole of Elwood, Indiana; and her beloved dog, Behr.

Judie dedicated her life to raising her family, cherishing each moment spent with her beloved grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her. As a proud grandmother, she delighted in sharing her passions and wisdom, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

Together with her husband, Judie founded Country Fare, where they crafted and sold unique craft items at local events and festivals. This endeavor was not just a business but a reflection of her creativity and commitment to the community. Judie's involvement extended beyond her entrepreneurial pursuits; she was a dedicated volunteer with the board of elections, offering her time and service to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.

Judie was also an active member of the Annie Oakley Committee, where she served as past president. Her leadership and dedication contributed significantly to the organization's success, embodying the spirit of service that she valued so deeply.

A celebration of Judie's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Guests may visit with her family on Friday from 12:00 PM until the start of the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Cancer Association of Darke County.
