Judith A Puterbaugh, age 84 of Arcanum, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
She was born on December 20, 1941, to the late Donald and Gwendolyn (Houdeshell) Sharp.
In addition to her parents, Judith is preceded in death by her loving husband, Eddie Puterbaugh; her sister, Janet Stigler; and her brother, Donnie Sharp.
Judith is survived by her children; Kim and Randy Baker of New Paris, Ohio, Monica and Dale Alexander of Greenville, Robin Scheiding of Arcanum, Robert and Lisa Scheiding of Greenville and Curt and Denise Puterbaugh Fourman of Eaton, Ohio; grandchildren, Janee Woodworth, Randy G. Baker, C.W. and Jeni Swihart, Bridget and Nathan Steinmetz, Josh and Anne Weymer, Chyrsten and Josh Gessel, C.J. and Morgan Regelski, and Zech and Victoria Scheiding, Lindsey and Justin Taylor, Megan and Matt Johnson, and Troy O'dell; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild with 2 more on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Judith spent much of her life as a devoted homemaker, a role she embraced with pride and dedication. Her days were centered around making sure those she loved were supported, comfortable, and surrounded by warmth.
She also worked locally at Sink Jewelers Inc., Louises Dress Shop, and Lindas Dress Shop in Arcanum. Judith was also a faithful member of Beech Grove Church, where her faith was an important part of her life.
Judith will be remembered for her loving heart, generous spirit, and unmistakable personality. She was famously never on time, a trait her family lovingly teased her about, but she always showed up ready to enjoy the moment. Judith loved shopping and could always find joy in a good outing, especially when it involved going out to eat. She cherished the companionship of her dogs, who brought her comfort and happiness. Whether it was holidays, birthdays, or simple everyday visits, being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great grandchildren meant everything to her. Judith's kindness, humor, and deep devotion to those she loved will be forever remembered and dearly missed.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday with Pastor George Glaze officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Ithaca Cemetery.
