Karl Chris Kleinekathoefer

Karl Chris Kleinekathoefer, age 34, of Greenville, Ohio and of Australia, passed away unexpectedly on August 29, 2026 doing a job he loved.

Karl was born on August 30, 1991 in Australia to Chris and Odette Kleinekathoefer.

In addition to his parents, Karl is survived by his fiancee, Channsophea Leng; his brother, Rhys Kleinekathoefer; his grandparents, Kurt and Helen Kleinekathoefer; his aunties and uncles, Karen and Ross Brewin and Emi and Ned Baskovich; his uncle, Ralph Pikulich; and many beloved cousins and extended family members. He also leaves behind many dear friends in Australia and the United States.

Karl was preceded in death by his Nona and Nono, Zlatka and Neville Pikulich.

Karl graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Studies of Paramedicine and dedicated his career to caring for others. He worked as a paramedic at Spirit Emergency Medical Services and was also a Critical Care Paramedic. He just obtained his certification as a First Aid, CPR, and AED instructor. Karl was a sergeant in the army cadets at the Pittwater House School in Collaroy, NSW, Australia, he brought his talents to America to serve as a community EMS educator at Spirit. He was known for his compassion and dedication to helping others.

From the young age of four, Karl had a deep love for music and enjoyed creating music of his own, sharing his work with others through his YouTube channel and creating a special event in Australia on Christmas Eve playing Christmas carols for the whole community to come and enjoy. He also shared his musical talents as a pipe organist at Reverent Church.

An avid bird and frog enthusiast, Karl found great joy in spending time outdoors and appreciating the beauty of nature. He also loved cooking and entertaining, especially when surrounded by his family and friends. Above all, Karl cherished the people in his life and the time he was able to share with them.

Karl's warmth, creativity, generous spirit, and love for others touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday September 5, at John and Iris Hathaway Education and Community Center, on the Sprit EMS campus, 5484 State Route 49, Greenville, Ohio.

A funeral service, with full EMS honors, will follow at 10:00 AM with Pastor Janie Detling officiating.
