Kathleen I. Dakin

Kathleen I. Dakin, age 75 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at her home.

She was born on August 10, 1950, in Greenville, to the late Frederick and Vernice (Mclaughlin) Dakin.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her siblings, Patricia (William) Westfall and Frederick Dakin, Jr., and her nephew, Jerry Westfall.

Kathy is survived by her nieces and nephews, William (Barbara) Westfall of Greenville, Dianne (Dennis) Beutler of Greenville, Sheila (Tim) Harbison of Greenville, Debora Barber of Greenville, Jerri Barber of Versailles, Carla (Doug) Cothran of Rossburg, and Fred (Marcia) Dakin III of Greenville; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Kathy was a graduate of Arcanum High School and worked many years at Whirlpool before retiring. She lived a simple and contented life, finding joy in the things she loved most. Kathy had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved cat, Purr Purr. She was also passionate about classic cars, owning one herself, and looked forward to attending car shows whenever she could.
